COMMENTS

Comments appearing on this blog represent the beliefs, opinions, and viewpoints of the reader who has chosen to comment on a post.  Comments represent the vast array of human beings on this planet traversing the cosmos.

The Loch Garry Blog does not endorse or subscribe to all comments posted.  However, we welcome differing points of view from our readers.  This is why this blog exists—to encourage thought and discussion.

Comments which attack an individual or group will not be published.  Profanity of any nature will not be published.

Constructive criticism is welcome. Attacking the authors of this blog because you disagree with what is presented will not be given serious consideration.

Lashing out at us with a tirade over a post, we may sympathize with your anger or frustration, but your comment will not appear. Negativity is not a healthy approach to life.

Comments of a theological nature are welcome with links to whatever belief system you may endorse so long as they are on the subject of the post.  This blog is not for free advertising of your products or beliefs.

If you want to promote yourself or your group, please create your own blog.  There are a number of opportunities out there for your voice to be heard.  Use them.

We hope you enjoy what you read about life on this planet.  We all are fellow travellers on the road of life.

We all share the same planet. Let’s live life well.

Treat others as you would have them treat you.  Give a fellow traveller a few moments of your time each day.

A cup of water and a piece of bread goes a long way.  A few moments of your time can change a life.

Be humble for you are made of Earth. Be noble for you are made of stars. Serbian proverb

“It does not require many words to speak the truth.

“The earth is the mother of all people, and all people should have equal rights upon it.”

  1. Thought you would like th entire poem – Today is that tomorrow you feared so yesterday..
I found this in an old scrap book – no author Titled “Worry” – but a book collected by Kathryn MacLeod – is 1924.
Today is that tomorrow, you feared so yesterday
And it cares you tried to borrow, you find have slipped away.

Remember how you fretted, At things that might befall ?
And what was it you netted? You aged yourself – that’s all.

We have enough of trouble, from which we cannot flee,
So let’s not make it double, thru cares we think we see.

Let’s not in fear be sinking – be brave and don’t be glum,
But sweeten life by thinking, of cares that will not come.

    1. Unfortunately, I forgot to include the web site where I found this picture back in 2011. I just finished searching Google. It appears the web site is no longer available. It is a great photo.

  2. I just wanted to let you know that Pasties are not Finnish. There are no pasties in Finland. The Cornish miners brought the pasty from the UK when they came to work in the mines in different areas of North America. Many people in the U.P. are misinformed and believe the pasty is Finnish in origin because of the amount of Finnish people. The more you know. 🙂
