About

Welcome to Loch Garry. Blogging has created its own reality. This blog will survey, review, comment and observe on life in all of its aspects.

Some things will be humorous and other things will be serious. Perhaps, satire will mingle with the mix. We welcome comments and suggestions.

Please no profanity or degrading comments on individuals, groups, etc. We all share the same planet and let’s be civil in word and action.

All inquiries will be reviewed and either published or rejected because of content, relevancy, etc. Several individuals will review what is submitted. We hope we can publish your comments or act on your suggestions.

Our hope is “May the wind always be on your back and the sun upon your face and may the winds of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars.

For in the final analysis, we all are star stuff created from the cosmic oceans which swirl about us with their mysteries and harmonies. May you one day truly dance with the stars and sing the songs of creation.

Carl Sagan: Cosmos

The time will soon be here when my grandchild will long for the cry of a loon, the flash of a salmon, the whisper of spruce needles, or the screech of an eagle. But he will not make friends with any of these creatures and when his heart aches with longing, he will curse me.

“Have I done all to keep the air fresh? Have I cared enough about the water? Have I left the eagle to soar in freedom? Have I done everything I could to earn my grandchild’s fondness?

—Chief Dan George, Tsleil-Waututh Nation (1899-1981)

  1. Yes, we are all start stuff, and we all need to treat each other as stars and angels should be treated. Another way of expressing the Golden Rule. Thank you for this blog.

  2. Oops, I meant to say “star” stuff, not “start stuff,” but maybe this is appropriate in a way, since this is at your home page, i.e., the start of this blog. Cheerio from California, USA.
