The Structures of Time

Albert Einstein

The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existence. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery each day. ”  “Old Man’s Advice to Youth: ‘Never Lose a Holy Curiosity.'” LIFE Magazine (2 May 1955) p. 64”

I have observed that some structures in our society, be they religious, political, etc. do not like the status quo questioned. Questions are anathema.

If a religious leader makes a fiat proclamation, then the followers are expected to fall in line and march in uniformity to the human dictates of the leader. Religious leaders are human and subject to the mania of power and their own special place in the cosmos.

Their own special place in the cosmos is the very summation of their high calling to the office.  Unfortunately, their high calling has little to do with the cosmos and more to do with their inflated self-created microcosm which to them encompasses the totality, the whole of creation.

The same is true in politics. Many politicians make proclamations which—when carefully examined—have no basis in concrete reality.  In a public meeting or conference, if they uttered something ludicrous or offensive, their spin legion softens the words to appease the outcry when the public is informed.

In fact these men and some women in their structures have divorced logic and rational thought from their roles as leaders.  They do not like to be questioned, challenged by the underlings (parishioners, party members, the press, etc.).

They do not accept contrary evidence to their established beliefs. They tend to degrade those who dare to offer an alternate view of life or belief.

Being omniscient is their divine right like the kings of old.  They tend to forget that human omniscience is like a Lego set being given to an one-year old.

The one-year old may be fascinated by the colors and shapes of the pieces.  However their abilities, especially dexterity and intellectual capital, are not developed enough to grasp the complexity of assembling Legos.

These pictures of the Lego display at the Mall of America demonstrate the skill needed to assemble such marvels.  An one-year old may be dazzled and entertained by the Lego creations, but omniscience is not present.

Structures Summary:

It is sad when so many human beings discard their reason and free will to embrace the ideology of their leader.  Individuals become like sheep being herded by a border collie which it was trained to do by its master and its breeding.

The master is still in control of the whole process.  The sheep just follow the barks.

The ancient myth of the Tower Of Babel was humans’ first attempt at a unified world government.  To erect a structure which could bypass the clouds to preserve the race may have been a noble effort, but the enterprise was doomed.

Without the omniscience of the cosmos the structure was a folly.  The cosmos could not be reached by a structure built on earth.

Limitations are inherited in the human genome.  Too many allow their limitations to be governed by those who see their Tower of Babel as the ultimate goal for them and their followers or supporters because they envision themselves on the precipice looking down on those who have become nothing more or less than drone bees yielding their talents and energies to the queen.

In 2018—will you be a drone bee or leave the hive to seek your own destiny on this planet traversing the cosmos?  The choice is yours.
