An April Walk In The North Woods

With the family in tow, we went out the door toward the open fields before the Woods.

After heavy rains this week, the corn and soy bean fields were soggy, but the woods were just fine.

The woods were carpeted with autumn leaves, branches, trillium, may apples, bloodroot, trout lilies, cut-leaved tooth worth, emerging Jack-in the Pulpit, and an assortment of plants and briers with old broken down fences, singing frogs from the marshes, etc.
